Gad creates and manages all the relics in the Budding Realms. With Gad’s eye not a single act in the realm goes unnoticed, a fact he is quick to leverage with Samandria, Goddess of Shape and Secrets and Tir, God of Knowledge to obtain more materials to make relics.

Gad’s Heart Furnace

In the center of Gad’s plane sized workshop lies the Heart Furnace. This towering furnace heats the entire plane and burns hot enough to fold arcane energy into any artifact forged in the Heart Furnace. An ordinary magic item or even one of legendary grade can not survive the refining process in the Heart Furnace without being destroyed or becoming an artifact. It also stands to reason that should the Heart Furnace freeze over, then the age of magic items would come to a devastating halt.

Artifacts of the Gods

Before the creation of the Budding Realms, Gad was tasked with creating unique relics for each of the gods. According to Gad’s followers, it would be an insult to the majesty of these creations to call them artifacts. As such they have taken to calling them Primordial Relics. Not much is currently known about what Gad gifted to each of the gods, but here is a list of what was given according to folklore.

  • Syntellia’s Star-touched Hourglass
  • Kuushu and Mori’s Rings of Justice & Mercy
  • Orion’s War-forged Falcon

God of Innovation

Followers of Gad are typically artisans that seek the needed flash of inspiration to create their masterpiece. It’s thanks to followers of Gad that firearms exist at all and that shipwrights have seen so much success.

The Sacrifice of Relics

With his eye, Gad foresaw that the world would quickly be over saturated with his relics and inventions. So much so that they would lose their value. To remedy this Gad instituted a call for an offering, with the help of Kuushu, God of Sacrifice and Space, of magical items. In exchange for offering a found relic of great value or a personal masterpiece, one can gain favor with Gad and the guild of artisans that follow him.
